Homes for Huffles is run by HRUMF (Huffle Relocation and Unhappiness Mitigation Facilitators), an international association of dedicated Huffle handlers and an agency within the Department of Extraterrestrial Research and Proliferation (DERP). Our mission is simple: improve the lives of Huffles worldwide through education, community outreach, and—most importantly—safe, stable integration initiatives that prioritize relocating at-risk or problematic Huffles to our brand-new, state-of-the-art Huffle Habitat biodome facilities.

For many reasons, some Huffles struggle to integrate into human society. Often driven by a misguided urge to “help,” or an inability to “read the room,” they may develop problematic behaviors that can lead to inflation—a physiological response to stress, frustration, or prolonged unhappiness. This unfortunate puffiness is usually caused by misunderstandings of human behavior, an inability to console others, or difficulty accurately communicating emotions. The more distressed a Huffle becomes, the larger it inflates—sometimes enough to lift off the ground—creating risks and burdens for the surrounding community. Fully inflated Huffles have been known to catch on power lines and antennas, block traffic, and become lodged inside machinery. Inflation—among many other concerns—is a key reason why early intervention is critical.

Through our sponsorship program, we pair at-risk Huffles with compassionate humans, offering them the stability and companionship they so desperately crave. Studies show that forming a bond with a Huffle not only improves the Huffles well-being, while reducing inflation potential, it also helps decrease human stress and anxiety.
